you & me

You Are a Risk Worth Taking.

Dear one, you are worthy of a real love. Not just a once-in-a-while passing fancy, but in each breath and in each day as you rise bravely to face the world.

You have come so far and traveled through storms that none can ever imagine, and you are still here breathing fire and setting the world aflame with your fierce heart.

You have stood by your own side endlessly, raising your sword and howling your truth to the sky, digging your roots deep into self-love and devotion. Don’t you deserve a love that will do the same?

You deserve a love that you don’t have to beg for or keep hidden in your chest for fear it’s too much or too deep to let out to burn fiercely in the open.

You deserve a love that doesn’t disappear when the feast is over or fades into the shadows when things get tough. A love that isn’t only struck when the iron is hot like a passing passion in the wind.

Darling, you were never meant to be at the bottom of someone else’s to-do list. You were never meant to be an option in a relationship built for two.

You’ve made yourself a priority and you deserve someone to do the same. You have risen so far in your life and opened your arms to the horizon of your deepest truth. The worthiness you ask for in love should be elevated too.

You’ve been taught to believe that you want too much, that the bar you set is so high and your desires too great. That’s not true and it never has been.

You’ve been settling so long it just seems like that to those who choose to give too little. You’ve been trained that you’re not worth the gamble for more so you set your sights on the floor.

Remember, dear one, your worth is not measured in the ability for others to see you as the treasure that you are.

Some never will be able to see the precious facets that shine on your jeweled surface. In knowing your value, you open the space for one who truly will see you in all of your authenticity.

Now, real love is not without its challenges, it’s true.

But you’re not looking for the easy road, you know to consciously choose love, you have to roll up your sleeves sometimes and get dirty. Sometimes that’s part of the fun.

You don’t need some fairy tale full of old outdated ideals, you’re too wild and capable to ever need to be rescued or saved.

You don’t need a movie script filled with pretty words and fancy storylines, you need action and decision. You don’t fit into the old world, thick with mind games, rules and regulations. The love for you wouldn’t either.

No, the love for you would see the mystic call within your veins as a gift, and not a curse, seeing your ocean-deep heart as a blessing to be explored and not something to run from when it opens wide.

The love for you would courageously dare to embrace the unknown waters of your soul, longing to experience your every wave, never demanding you hold in your breath, expecting you to be anything else but your brilliant truth.

This kind of soul-depths love is a choice, if you chance opening to it. It can be a channel to sacred union, a road to the Divine, and a spirit-deep surrender to tangle in the unknown with another.

This isn’t the kind love that can be settled for.

The love for you isn’t found in silencing your truth, burying your fire or swallowing your voice.

It’s found in embracing all that you are.

You deserve someone who will dare to love you fully.

Because you are a risk worth taking, dear one. You are a love worth making.
