I was a Dancer.
By Jimmy Manos.
I was a dancer
I don’t know when
I soared across
The largest stage
I chased evil
And it chased me
My body died
And was reborn
I felt the grief
And I heard the joy
I was a dancer
I ride a bicycle
I know it now
I fly up mountains
And scream down valleys
I roll from the masses
And get reeled in
My legs ache
And my lungs burn
I feel the losses
And I hear the cheers
I ride a bicycle
I was a dancer
I ride a bicycle
I am a dancer
As are we all
