Finding Our Way Back to Center.
The ego-self has a sneaky way of winding itself up around the consciousness of our soul.
The soul, on the one hand, is pure and loving by its very essence. The soul’s purpose for existence, I believe, is to lead us toward our specific life dharma while healing the background noise.
The ego, on the other hand, has ulterior motives. Its very livelihood confuses our reality with the projections of its pride, and often hurts, based on past experiences. It doesn’t wish us to live in the present moment, rather it wishes to keep us tethered to the past.
For me, my self-actualization and conscious waking up, in part, is the shedding of all of ego’s webs to reveal the clear vision of my soul. By boldly walking into each shadowed room inside my vessel, with the motive to de-clutter and invite fresh air through love, the storylines — one by one — have popped forth in the willingness to heal.
And that is a miracle.
To wake up in the daylight and ask, “Dear Universe, please guide me to my highest frequency of love in service of you,” with the truth of desire and earnestness, is a miracle. For over three decades, I woke up feeling like a grey cloud was looming over my head. It held the energetic feeling that something was wrong.
My ego-mind would easily search out the culprit for my misgivings about the day. Perhaps it was the new project I was starting, the tough conversation with my friend weighing me down, or the fact that I was still single and alone that gave it evidence for a gloomy trajectory. Whatever it was, my ego was so akin to searching it out, and within moments it brought forth the facts.
But, the fact is, nothing is actually ever wrong. Everything is right in the Divine plan.
Truly, within each moment, the polarities of love and light are supporting our every move on this earth. Any misgivings in between those energies are projections of the mind and/or humanly constructed notions of hell on earth that we’ve brought into existence over the years using our free-will destruction.
The goldmine, or flip side of this conversation, is that the free will can be focused in an entirely different direction where the pulse of love is felt and the illusion of hurt left behind. Energy goes where directed, so we can use ours to focus on self-love and its boundless wellspring within our vessels. This creates more and more love.
For me, the action in this step means looking within myself to find each design that stands in the way of this peaceful reality. This act, for me, is still a work in progress. It’s a peaceful practice of bringing myself back into my heart every single time the ego-mind wants to take me out of the truth of my experience.
The ego wants to keep me small and under that rain-cloud, but the soul’s truth sits beneath an abundant rainbow shining across a blue-bird sky.
And this truth, this reality, is what ultimately sets us free.
The willingness to simply surrender, trust, and sit inside the peaceful glow of our own hearts is what makes for the heaven on earth reality that is attainable in each moment. And when the ego calls out, “Oh God, but that’s wrong! This needs to be fixed!” simply pause, breathe, let go, and return to the fourth chakra heart space.
Eventually its grip will release, allowing more space for the soft whisper of the inner voice and the soul’s gaze. These energies return us to the Divine grace we are by nature, the goddesses and gods we are by birthright.
