Watching You.
By Jonathan Carr.
I do, I do,
I know you.
Watching the stars watching me,
watching you.
Breathe in precious air.
Then exhale letting you
hang in dreamy memories,
and live to tell the truth.
What do you feel?
What you do?
I do, I do,
I know you.
Watching the stars watching you,
watching me.
Swallow hollow thoughts,
with formal bows I plead.
Never too much to live for.
In the end I’m simply me.
We watch.
We breathe.
We live.
We do.
I do, I do,
I know you.
Watching the stars watching me,
I love you.

Jonathan Carr is an old flutist, a dancer at heart, writer’s block defeater and gentle friend. Jonathan enjoys life’s ebbs and flows with an array of colors. Continually coming back to his writing, poetry and short stories, he loves to write what he knows. With a hard past and a budding future filled with love, kindness and hope before him, Jonathan lives day to day with the mantra: take educated risks in the dark. As a young, reasonably successful, gay male American, he is a perpetual learner and lover of life.
